he club's interesting and stimulating speaker on 19 July was Dr Pragati Gautama, who lives in Alexandra (which she and her family "just love") and travels to Cromwell to the Cromwell Medical Centre where she also has a Travel Smart Clinic. One highlight for travellers around the Pacific region was heeding her advice about preventing illnesses from various  insect borne diseases.  Most diseases were debilitating, or even ending in death, but the prevention was... wait for it.... insect repellent.  Yes, insect repellent.  Be armed and be safe.,
Pragati said she loved teaching and that was very obvious as she detailed, with humour, the insects with long names, accompanied by larger than life photos.
To travel anywhere overseas, take inspect repellent for protection for little bugs and be travel smarft.
An informative and humourous talk.
