You will remember that Rotary International had a plan to plant a tree for every Rotarian in the World. Now is our opportunity to be involved.
This coming Monday 5th November, Tuesday 6th November and Wednesday 7th November we will be out in force in Clyde, Alexandra and Roxburgh.
- Planting 25 trees in Seaton Square and the Clyde Railway Reserve next Monday 5 November
- Planting 19 trees in Alexandra – 4 sites on Tuesday 6 November
- Planting 7 trees in Roxburgh on Wednesday 7 November.
All plantings start at 9.15am. We will be assisted on site by Asplundh. The trees are a good size, mostly 1.8m. The planting holes will be pre-dug and backfilled with compost and Asplundh will stake the trees when we have completed the planting. Please bring a spade / shovel and a sharp knife if possible to cut the bags the trees come in.
